Bridge Louvre Company is a family owned business and was incorporated on 9 February 1995, but our origins stretch back further than that.
Bridge Louvre has its roots in a former sheet metal fabrication business, which was established in 1965. Whilst primarily specialising in sheet metal fabrication, this business also had a small scale louvre fabrication department. Two of the current directors (Jon Beaumont and Richard Beaumont) and several of the current factory staff manufactured louvres for this business in the late 1980’s.
The banner image at the top of this page shows one of our current longest serving employees fitting louvres on a roof in the 1980’s. PPE requirements have changed a bit since then!
The image on the left shows a louvre assembly being checked, just a few 100 metres from the current Bridge Louvre factory, circa 1980’s
Following the closure of sheet metal business in 1995, Joyce Beaumont (now retired) decided to form a new company based solely on louvre fabrication. The Stalybridge roots of the business helped with the new name and Bridge Louvre was formed.
Originally the new business (Bridge Louvre) had one single saw and occupied a small area of the building we now own. Bridge Louvre quickly expanded to occupy half the building, with the remainder sublet to a sign making company. Following continued expansion we purchased the factory from the landlords and took occupation of the complete property. We have fully refurbished the property to ensure we have our current modern, efficient environment. We have also expanded into a number of adjacent units which allow us flexibility to increase our production and storage capabilities as required.Whilst a number of competitors have been and gone over the years, we are proud to have made a profit through every year of our existence. This has allowed us to invest in the business and ensure that we are financially strong with an excellent credit rating.
